Lynn Aliya is the author of SPEAKEASY: A Radically New Approach to Public Speaking (Less Fear, More Fun) and the creator of the SPEAKEASY Method™—a revolutionary new way to speak in public that prioritizes connection over performance.
She is a public speaking coach, playwright, and consultant specializing in medical empathy. Lynn trains doctors to navigate difficult conversations with greater clarity and compassion.
Her career spans feature films, national commercials, television (including hosting and producing Aspen’s hit show The Buzz on 82), and regional theatre across America. Her work has been performed Off-Broadway.
She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and Yale School of Drama, earned a master’s in humanities from the University of Colorado, and completed post-graduate work at Columbia University.
Also known as “Brooklyn” on the Aspen airwaves, she’s a country radio broadcaster and longtime local in the Rocky Mountains. She splits her time between Colorado and New York.
Her next book, The SPEAKEASY Connection: Communication in a Digital Age, is due out in Fall 2025.
